Pandora just became one of Tedd's favorite people. She's a mother who's stayed by her son for centuries.

If you annoy animals enough, you are likely to get the most natural of all reactions
I never understood the comment at the time, but when Sarah started working with Tedd, he confessed that one of his great fears was that his parents might have been wrong about him.

Pandora was angry with Edward because she thought he cut Adrian out of Tedd's life. But I don't believe Pandora has ever brought up Noriko. I may be channeling Agent Wolf now, but why is Noriko not dead now? A mother who deserts her own child? I think it's a reasonable conjecture that if Noriko didn't have another child, Noriko would be dead.

Okay, another conjecture: the reason that Tedd's father doesn't like it when Tedd spends time as a girl is that Tedd reminds him of Noriko in that form.

I've already speculated that the real Arthur might be dead and Voltaire has been impersonating him. But Voltaire would have to spend a large part of his time being Arthur, so unless he can be in two places at once, it doesn't seem to be the most likely possibility.
Cahoots is more possible. But if Arthur knows even half as much about Immortals as Edward does, he should know that the games they play with humans are all about manipulating them.
We really haven't been given a lot of knowledge about Arthur J. Arthur. We don't even know if he has any magic; you don't have to be a wizard to dress up in a pointy hat, a robe, and carry a big staff with a jewel or a big piece of colored glass. The one thing we know he taught Edward was how to cover up magic and alien encounters. Being replaced by a younger who actually does have magic could be another factor in Arthur's behavior now, over and above Edward being a protege of Adrian Raven, someone we definitely know Arthur J. Arthur does not like.

Yes, plausible and kind of neat, maybe, but I'm not married to the idea or even going steady. In the middle of his rant Voltaire talks about luck, how lucky he was to find Dex, how lucky to find a gullible griffin (Tara). Even if Voltaire travels to other universes, there are lots of other possible and plausible universes, even as GURPS alludes in its core sourcebook about alternate history, world hopping, and time travel, Infinite Worlds. Perhaps my now-elderly theory that Magus is an alternate Elliot/Ellen could somehow help to explain it, but Dan's already shown us alternates for both the Big Es in alternate worlds that probably aren't the world Magus and Terra are from. Voltaire still seems to require a lucky break here, something like the lucky (for the miscreant) break the average French jerk stumbled upon to make himself into Not-Tengu.
Although...nah, Voltaire couldn't have arranged that too, could he?
[In fairness to average French jerks who don't practice casual murder and mind-control, I must point out that Not-Tengu could quite plausibly have been an average Belgian jerk.]

On the subject of Lord Tedd again, I think there's a huge hint in the form of Tedd's dream after Painted Black. It depicted an apparently younger Tedd (shorter at least), he then sees a grave (Elliot's?) and suddenly he's grown up (or taller) with a black arm length glove on his right hand and confronted by an Uryuomoco speaking monster (General Shade Tail?) the glove forms into the gauntlet which he used to fight the monster before waking up. I don't think Tedd would have been dreaming about what might have happened if Elliot had been killed by Damien because where would the Uryuomoco speaking monster come from? I wonder if Tedd saw what happen to Lord Tedd in a similar manner to Ellen experiencing her second life. Makes me think Nioi gave Tedd a bit of a nose beep when no one was looking.

I have two thoughts concerning timing to share.
First, if I didn't mention it in the thread about Wednesday, Sister III has now begun its second year in our universe.
Second, back in the Beta universe, it's been more than nine months now since Beta Ellen suggested to Beta-Tedd that there were better ways to spend their time together while Beta-Edward was out of town. If Beta Tedd took her up on her suggestion...

I'm sorry.  My computer does not accept or give cookies.
That quote is from a future scene when Catalina joins the agency.  Although I think there would be one more descriptive label.  I just can't recall the word right now...

I suspect Leifeld used the Abraham incident as an excuse to remove Edward from his job of covering up the truth about magic. Take another look at the gym scene where Leifeld and Arthur are talking. Just how long ago did Arthur float his plan to solve the problem "for decades" go back? How long have Leifeld and Arthur been conspiring to bring on the magical reset?
And speaking of that gym scene, isn't that Carol Brown at the far right of the second panel totally hearing Leifeld and Arthur's conversation?

It is possible that Liefeld believed Edward would not agree with Arthur's plan.  So when the Abraham incident happened, Liefeld used it as a pretext for moving Edward to a position which would not interfere with Arthur's plan.  If this is the case, and Edward did everything "by the book" with Abraham, Liefeld would have just found another excuse to transfer Edward.
As for Carol Brown in the gym?
First, this is most likely an exercise room at the Agency.  It would not be unusual for an agent to interrupt the boss's work out at the agency gymnasium.  Much more noticeable at a commercial health club.
Second.  Carol Brown is not the only attractive blonde in the world.
    Third...
I think your left is not right.

It certainly will, although maybe not as much as they though. Maybe the whole flow of magic is to spread magic from Seers to rest of world. Worlds. Both halves of world.
    Solution to WHAT?
Although unless Pandora exaggerate, this solution is likely to find some problem
... would be funny if next page Pandora was non-scary again and saying "... although maybe you shouldn't do that, it's more boring than it sounds."

This isn't good I think. Pandora was doing so well, being kind, gentle, motherly, I got the feeling she really wanted to do things right. But she's slipped, this can't bode well, if she doesn't catch herself before she goes too far.

Exactly. If Adrian would be blinded by Tedd's aura, he would say something. (Possily "ouch, turn that off, it hurts!" )
Machine might show zero for something outside it's operation parameters, but human (or half-human) wouldn't.
The idea that Tedd was NOT shining so bright when young seems more and more attractive to me.
And I already responded that the second part of his statement seems to not make sense (but only because ...) if what Tedd is doing still counts as spells, even not his own.
Seer can not only observe spells but also understand it. It's possible Tedd is going to observe essentially random magic actions of previous magic users and helps them to find order in it again, then teach resulting spells to others.
IF there is any "creating the new rules", it would be the second purpose. And maybe that's why he needs to not know about it - it would only work if he THINKS he's just finding out existing rules but he's actually making them subconsciously ...
It would match all the other cases of Tedd thinking something he's doing is more normal than it is.
I dismiss this possibility as boring. Also, I think that finding family who has no royal ancestors would be very hard. Unless her family records go thousands years into past proving that noone with her magic was royal ...
But, yes, the connection between royalty and magic is apparently stronger on the other half of the world.
... hmmm, this reminds me I didn't had Hot Dog for long time ...

I think Ted might need a hug, but I don't hug people who believe in stuff working the first try. Blasphemers they are! Of course I wouldn't be cruel enough to say it to his phase, he is suffering enough and has realized his sin.

On the old boards, long before this magic reset stuff came up, I wrote a scene of Noriko being informed that she's being seconded to the United States for a while to do some high-energy work with a magical engineer... named Tedd Verres...

One of the changes in magic could have been to make it more "friendly" with the way technology was going to develop. Or it might have been changing all along, maybe even carrying technology and lifestyles along with it, like the way in the nine months since Grace's birthday, flip phones have become smartphones, CRTs have been replaced by LCDs, and Susan and Diane's belly buttons have pretty much disappeared.
