I'm tempted to write Dan to let him know that some people (well at least this one) were confused by the previous comic even after reading the commentary and following the links. (Incidentally it's very strange to be in the "confused by the comic because I forgot things from previous strips" camp; I guess I need to re-read the last few years of the comic.)
I'm glad the comic points out why Grace was so distracted, though I still think it would have been better for those of us reading it as it comes out if it had been explained in the previous comic or commentary (it won't be much of an issue for those reading it in the archives). (I also still wish Dan wasn't jumping around in the timeline so much.)
As for Grace's goodness, Justin wouldn't be so surprised she doesn't see herself that way if he knew about how she reacted to her part in Damien's death. Of course her feeling guilt over a foe's death is a sign of her goodness, but it also means her assessment of her own goodness will not be as high as that of an outside observer. And while the most dramatic instance, that was hardly an isolated incident; Grace is well aware she is a flawed individual, and the flaws she sees in herself weigh heavily on her.
Incidentally, I hope Justin was just kidding about Grace defending her "title". For one thing, bragging about being the most good individual around is not the sort of thing one would expect the most good individual around to do. For another, when used seriously "goody-two-shoes" is an insult, usually directed at those perceived as self-righteous - not exactly a title most people would want to fight for.

Nanase used to have a spell that gave her total control over her hair before her first burnout. I assume she got it back. Or Ellen could have zapped her, or she could have borrowed Ellen's ring, or gotten one of her own from Cousin Tedd. Or her hair could have gotten longer because her magic is building up.
Now she needs to get her ponytail back.
I assume the skirt is a pleated kilt. Her whole outfit reminds me of the kind of thing Ashley goes for, especially if she's wearing pants under the skirt.
    Ellen Dunkel. Dunkelzahn?

She doesn't have to specifically find out, the next time she see's Elliot, she'd notice he's not as cheerful as the last time she saw him so she'd ask whatsup, Elliot can at the very least say he was hoping he could get everyone together an do something on Saturday (he doesn't have to say anything about it being a party) and he feels bad about Susan's response.
Dan himself said he's not exactly sure when and how Elliot would have found out about Susan's experience in France, he mentioned the fact that Susan had told Sarah and Grace, but it's also possible he heard it from Nanase and/or Ellen cus we know Nanase told Ellen about Susan's angst induced awakening, she could have told Ellen about France as well since she was involved too, Nanase has just as much right to choose who to tell as Susan does and Susan didn't ask for Nanase's permission to tell Sarah and Grace so I don't see why Nanase would need permission from Susan to tell someone.
Ashley's been pretty resistant so far, she opted for seeing a movie in a public place rather that in private where there could be a chance of Elliot transforming for fun or something. That'd be a big reason to avoid attending a get-together with people she recently learned has experienced magic in some form, she's trying to avoid temptation, probably not out of fear of giving into it, but out of the possibility of having a breakdown in front of everyone.
Considering Tedd's main reason for wanting to make magic public was so that it could be used to help people, "Gung ho" might still be apt.

I'm wondering now, since Elliot's feeling bad about Susan and bringing up the idea of a party, will Ashley pick up on it and just instinctively want to reach out to Susan, and then the two of them end up talking about their experience together. Ashley isn't really up to talking to Elliot about it, and she doesn't really know anyone else, but I'd think if she believed that Susan was dealing similar trauma, she might open up to Susan first.

Nice save by Elliot in the last panel. It shows that the two of them are growing accustomed to each other's quirks.

Going back to the very first panel of the previous comic, has anyone else noticed that the fat guy carrying the beam is actually working and only grunts once, while the guy standing doing nothing grunts twice. Obviously the second guy is the supervisor.

I think since Sarah jumped to the conclusion that Adrian was Pandora's son, and Pandora had told Sarah that she was going to talk to him on Satruday, that Adrian was likely the wizard that Pandora was going to have remove the clog and that it was going to be done Saturday. Sarah certainly would have passed that info along to Grace and Tedd, and since Pandora was reset/refreshed on Friday, it'd be easy for Sarah to also conclude that Pandora never got the chance to do what she had planned.
I think we only saw what, 1-2, 3-4(the blonde in the white shirt was seen in the previous link), 4 students aside from Ellen and Grace in the history class? What are the chances of it being one of them? Victor has been mentioned later so he already has reccurring character potential (also being named helps a bit), would he consider not answering Sam's inquiries about Grace a form of censorship?
Maybe the people Sam asked were thinking that Sam liked Grace and was trying to build up the courage to ask her out. Wouldn't be the first time someone's done that.
Well it has been over a week since the incident, Dan's also said he's going to address this again later and Sarah's talk with Adrian is something I really want to see, so it would seem likely that Sarah asked Adrian about the clog and was told that he had no clue where it was or how exactly to remove it. Do you think Adrian would has instructed Sarah to continue using her spell in the meantime to keep the ambient energy relatively low so that it'd be less likely to attract monsters?

I'm beginning to think that Sam didn't attend the card tournament because he doesn't want to be with Sarah while Grace is around for fear that Grace might let it slip that Sam is trans, especially if he saw that Sarah was a friend of Grace's. His running away here could have been because Grace was with another friend and was equally paranoid about her possibly telling Ellen about him. It makes me think that there hasn't been any real contact between Sam and Grace after that initial incident, while Sam has obviously been at the comic shop since then, it seems likely he'd have avoided talking to Grace so that the subject of him being trans would never come up again. Heck if he saw Tedd talking with Grace after he had suggested  Tedd might want to use "Tess" as a name, that might have really spooked Sam into thinking his cover might get blown.

Edit: And it just occurred to me after posting that, trans males would still have to deal with menstrual cycles, at least until they start hormone therapy, right? His absence could have been related to that and him running from Grace then might have been because he had just bought feminine hygiene products and he doesn't want anyone to see.

Or, maybe he can transform to cloud, like some vampires (mist form). That's how it looks to me.
Yes. Although the crimes Sarah can do are considered more dangerous. Camdin wouldn't be able to get into nucler football ... Sarah would and noone will notice.
It's the contrast symbol on TV.
... no idea what spell it could be based on this.
    Exactly.
With or without her antennae out?
Not THAT lot, IMHO, and she was mostly using ambient magic. Pandora warned her that more than four times per day wouldn't really help.
You mean it's not how PANDORA is working. I think Dan even directly stated somewhere that Pandora is deliberately shaping the marks as clues.
Hmmm ... power to reverse spells, that MIGHT match what Liz was saying ...

This amazing insight deserves a post of its own. Maybe a lab coat, too. And nerd glasses.
Camdin is the one with the cloud mark. He appears out of a cloud, which might mean he teleports with a cloud special effect, like a stage magician, or, say, a real genie. Or maybe that he can just make a cloud which would make him even more noticeable and Luke was distracted enough to be surprised despite Camdin's lame power.

Or, she could be preparing to use her (much weaker) abilities to levitate non-self items. This could be another case where she stumbles across a "no change" in the rules of magic.

The remarkable thing is that less than a year ago, comic time, Grace was a controlled substance.

Diane's subconscious realized the direction her life was heading and poked her to make it, even though her conscious mind was in denial about it all. Unfortunately, it seems unlikely that she's going to get the epiphany about why Lucy is upset, at least at this moment. Maybe later, but hopefully sooner than that.

More like he's figured it out from Grace. There can probably only be one person that Justin knows that fits the description. Ellen figured it out and heck, Elliot hasn't actually met Rhoda and figured out she was Catalina's girlfriend. Susan was of course the first to find out cus she learned it from the source despite attempts to keep it secret, and it's probably because of why Catalina wanted it kept secret that Susan would have likely felt that it'd be wrong to tell others especially considering what Justin had told her.
It's possible that everyone (even Diane, the person Rhoda most wanted to not find out about her liking girls)figured it out on their own because both Catalina and Rhoda were bad at hiding their relationship.

Well, Lucy could actually be honest about her feelings to Diane. But of course, those things don't happen in EGS unless there's something like an attack by a Spider Vampire, or getting invited to Grace's next birthday party.. Or maybe a mysterious floating woman telling Lucy to do it.
Adrian obviously has to come into this story in a big way, but when is another question. It's not established whether either Diane or Lucy is taking one of Adrian's classes this semester.
Pandora could advise Lucy at any time from her return, but I don't see her up to marking Lucy or anyone else for awhile.Jerry reset during the last spring break, and he didn't show up as Zeus until New Year's. Pandora's "refresh"  should make her recovery faster, but it's only been three days, and the last comic in Sister 3 took place at "an unknown time."
