... I approve of this entire thing. But a poly pod that large would require a lot of communication. I still approve. And I want video.

The One True Tetradecagon or 14 sided polygon. It's actually a web. The not quite current version looks like this:

For the record I can find a canon source for where those links come from.  Granted some are less, shall we say, solid than others.

Very astute, Elliot. But you are not some sort of mafia and magic is not a clueless butt face weakling.
First of all, how would you picture Sarah kissing Elliot on the lips, if they ever did?

Well, no, but if he's motivated enough or ticked off enough Elliot can be absolutely terrifying.  The only thing that would keep him from trying to intimidate Magic Itself if it ever changes enough to hurt Tedd is not knowing how in the heck to even start.

As Arthur put it, in an age where everyone has video cameras at all times, it is impossible to maintain ignorance of magic's existence. The truly dangerous secret however is not that magic exists, but rather that nearly any idiot who is determined enough can Awaken. The "middle path" that Arthur was trying to follow was one of claiming that Mages are Born rather than Made--i.e. a person born without "talent" would have little hope of gaining access to magic.
What Magic seems to want is to allow the possibility for "wild cards" to exist (i.e. people who self-select for magical Awakening as opposed to being hand-picked by Magic Itself). This thus requires that there be some method for Awakening that can be initiated by Mr. Random Guy. At the same time, Magic's desire to keep the proportion of Mages low means that the threshold needs to be greater than simply convincing an existing powerful Mage to share their knowledge (e.g. studying instruction books).

Elliot's analysis put a new perspective on magic for me.
I now imagine it something like this...
    Hi, Tedd.  I'm Magic.
I'm the kid down the street who has all the best toys and games.
Sometimes, I'll bring over a new game and let you play.  I won't tell you how to play it.  You will need to figure that out on your own.  I might let you hold on to it for a long time.  Or I might watch you like a hawk every moment you're near it.
Either way, I can take it away at any time.  This might be because I don't like the way you and your friends are using my game.  Or the reason may not involve you in any way.  Doesn't matter to me.
Now Tedd, I let you have an ultra rare, limited edition, custom expansion for the magic game all your friends and relatives have been playing.  You are only now beginning to understand just what kind of advantage this can give you.  But I might pull the game away from everyone else, and your special expansion pack will be useless without anyone else playing.
Oh, your watches?  They are about to become as useful and attractive as the 1978 Timex digital with an imitation leather strap that your dad lost in the back of the closet over thirty years ago.

Sorry I've been out of touch for the last month.
A lot of little problems just got in the way of getting my internet connextion fixed.  And I'm still not reliably back yet.
Anyhow, I saw a sign in the restaurant that seemed appropriate.
"All our customers make us happy.
Some make us happy when they enter.
Some make us happy when they leave."

I hope I'm still in the "happy when they enter" group.

For some applications analog computers are faster and more accurate than even modern digital computers.  Two target ballistic tracking and control for example.  Of course the are about the size of a minivan and have a freaking huge power requirement.  Size and power requirements is the primary reason the military has gone with digital computers for ballistic and range use.  Example a modern laser rangefinder has an accuracy of around ten meters at 10,000 meters.  An analog device has an accuracy of sub meter range at 100,000 meters.  On the other hand the LRF can be held by one hand and powered by one battery.  The analog device is, again, the size of a minivan with a power requirement in the multiple kilowatt range.
The analog device range given above is vs aircraft targets, before any one comments on curvature of the earth making that range impossible.

No it's not. France is a big blue cheese.

Since she is dealing with what for her would be the effective destruction of years of work and the loss of so many things that have helped her turn her life around, any nonzero chance of it happening is a cause of significant worry. Even if it is only a one percent chance, the consequences will remain ruinous. And the chances of magic change happening are currently significantly larger than nonzero.

Verres itself is French, while Noriko is in Europe, yet Nanase and Susan had their trip to France. Now I really believe that France is a big red herring.
Although, is Tedd talking about the true fate of magic, or the worst case scenario, since I worry about him being a worrywart.

I don't think that Mr. Verres is transphobic, at least not to the degree where I'd actually call it transphobic. I fully believe Mr. Verres loves his child as much as a father can. I've outed myself on this forum before, so I don't terribly mind saying again that I am intersex. Now, maybe I am projecting some, but I feel like I know exactly where Tedd is right now (at least with regards to family and who he can talk to). I know that my parents love me unconditionally, but there were a lot of awkward moments while I was still figuring things out. My parents will, and have, supported me in anything I will do, but at the same time they are not who I turn to for gender advice.

Incidently, i recently learned I can't give more than ten likes a day.

Yup. Especially considering it may not be everything. She didn't get to anything about the book yet - in fact, this part sounds as if the BOOK is Pandora.
Must be very small print. Or, well, magic.
Yes. It's probably to build trust, so it makes sense, but still, not expecting that.
I'm not sure she is allowed scare off the boar. Although it might be counted as guiding.
But yes, I'm skeptical even to the implied statement that she only marked her just before the boar attack.
Lieutenant B'Elanna Torres: You know, I have really had it with this superiority complex of yours.
    Female Q: It's not a complex, dear, it's a fact.
It is unsympathetic attitude indeed, but in some cases it's justifiable. From her point of view, animals and humans are not that different ... and it can be argued that being annoyed when compared to animal is just HUMAN superiority complex.
Especially considering Grace's surname IS squirrel, sort of.
Personally, it's the "your" part of "your cat" which is more disturbing to me. It's implying Catalina belongs to Rhoda.
Also, in all cases, it was for her amusement. She can do things for multiple reasons.
But yes, he most evil things we saw her doing was giving her son lesson he doesn't think he needed. And what child agree with parent's method of educating him?

More proof that my waifu isn't evil, just, well, weird.  And she didn't say "That squirrel", she said "the squirrel", which isn't quite as insulting, at least to me.
So far every one we have seen her interact with has been for the good.  That is "we have seen", she may or may not have done less than good things off screen.
Good Tom - detect puppies in danger Rhoda - size change Cat & Kitty - Cat girl Tedd - gender change Justin - fighting power Sarah - magic in general These are all things that either they really wanted or were something they could use.
