So watermelon is 64?
My guess is Tedd. While magic is preparing to go mainstream, I'm not sure if everyone's ready for it to go mainstream yet... remember, Tedd still has to work out how to increase defenses. ...so there still could potentially be an issue about whether to reveal magic to Sam (someone who they just met and who, as far as we know, doesn't yet know any more about magic than anyone else watching the news). It also seems possible that Tedd having just learned of her gender identity and not yet being used to the concept might cause some awkwardness. Tedd is also part of the ship-tease threesome with Sarah; on the other hand, I can't remember Tedd expressing interest in this, so if that was the source of awkwardness it'd probably be Grace. This is mostly just speculation, though.
(On the other hand, it's possible that the "other" and "haven't seen mentioned" parts mean it's referring to someone besides the obvious Tedd, Grace, Elliot, Sarah, and Sam, rather than just someone other than Sarah and Sam. Is there anyone less obvious who might be put into an awkward situation by this?)

I now have a mental image of a cat finishing off mice with a big hammer. This makes me happy.

Rode the bike to Dillons and back. I know I'm getting a new seat for it as soon as payday rolls around, but other than that I've got no problems with the bike, as of right now anyway.

That would be an even more negative quantity of fun. Sounds about right.

Spent last weekend at ExpectoCon, a "Wizards and Witches" convention for copyright/trademark reasons, set in an original School of Magic. Let's just say the attendees are not restricted from choosing to dress in House Robes and referring to certain Warner Brothers properties. There were even a few non-HP character costumes, like Harry Dresden or Granny Weatherwax. It was in the same hotel as the last seven TeslaCons, so it felt like going home in a way. I split a hotel room with a friend, always more fun than going alone, and I joined a trivia quiz team that I'd just met and we came in tied for second (I got a rather nice wand as a prize). We did an Escape Room Meets Live Action Role-Playing, and Saturday night's "Crystal Ball" included a dragon leading a conga line and an Ent using a branch for a limbo. Aside from very bad weather for both the drive there and the drive back, it was a blast! And my usual day off was Monday, so I stayed one extra night and got to pack at my leisure the next morning, and then visit the Madison zoo for a few hours before heading home.
Oh yes, and now I just found a channel showing the first two episodes of Xena Warrior Princess, and I always like getting to see how a series started. :-)

CritterKeeper reacted to The Old Hack in Video Game Discussion 4
Some of the latest EGS:NP posts mentioned old Greek galleys and compared them to ships o' the line. It brought back happy memories of playing Civilization 2.
In one game I was kinda sorta WAY ahead of an opponent technologically. He tried to invade me using triremes. I didn't happen to have any naval units nearby at the time so I responded with cruise missiles. It struck me that this wasn't really a fair match but at least it was over quick. One moment the unsuspecting trireme would be merrily rowing along, the next, BOOM and it was a rather scattered mess of toothpicks.
But the merciless march of technology did spare a kindly thought for the poor triremes, I later learned. When you invented nuclear power, one effect of this would be to give all your naval units an additional movement point. In one game I had a trireme lying in port that I had completely forgotten about. When I finally noticed it, I discovered that it had one more movement point than it should have had. It took a few moments before I realised that this was due to my Nuclear Power advance.
Of course, that raised the questions of how in the world you could possibly fit a trireme with a nuclear reactor and, having done so, make the reactor somehow power the oars. I'd be really interested in seeing the blueprints for that one.

That almost sounds as insult, but note that Myelin is mostly from lipids and myelin insulation is critical for speed of electrical impulses on axons.
Most known reason for not having fat in brain is multiple sclerosis.

Dear Amazon.
Yes, I bought an electric bike. That means, for a while any way, that I will not be buying another one. You can stop with the emails showing me each and every one you sell.
Thanks.

TL:DR version: TMs (Technical/Technique Machines) are items that are used to teach a Pokemon moves that they do not learn via leveling up, but not all Pokemon can learn every move out there (e.g. they can't usually learn the more powerful ones that are contrary to their elemental types). Move Tutors are NPCs who act as living TMs--they will teach a move to a Pokemon who is in your party.

Oh, she already knows. It's just that until the not-a-reset, she wasn't able to learn any magical swords spell due to being Uryuomn.

My son ate Jon St. John's nachos.
If you're familiar with the Duke Nukem 3D series of games, you'll have heard Jon—he's the voice of Duke Nukem. Well, my son and I were supposed to meet with him at the Let's Play convention in Irving, TX this past weekend and give him some more of my Calibrations CDs to give away. We'd agreed to meet up at some point during the convention.
The story takes place at lunch, right after we'd sat down at a round table that was just clearing out. The café was packed. We had just started eating when a man and a woman came up and asked if they could join us. That man and woman were Jon St. John and his manager. I thought they were doing it intentionally, so I said, "Sure!" I rose, extended a hand, and said, "If I'm going to shake your hand, I'd better well do it standing."
He looked at me and said, "Who are you?"
We finally figured out our identities and exchanged greetings.
During lunch, Jon got miffed at the café staff over their nachos. He likes crunchy nachos that you can dip into the cheese, but they'd poured cheese all over his chips, making them soggy. My son had also ordered nachos, but had dry chips. He offered to swap with Jon, who after a bit of hesitation, accepted. Later on, Jon told my son, "You made my lunch."
So, my son ate Jon St. John's nachos.
