Yeah ... totally not what it looks like, especially considering they are both homosexual, but I'm not surprised someone makes incorrect assumption.
Still, assumption or not, this is not good time for fight.
She's fire type. It makes sense. Although in today's weather, I would opt for wearing the clothes wet till they dry.
    Does she?
I mean, sure, she is clothed differently, but maybe it's the same clothes canon Charlotte is wearing at cons.

There is a small difference between a creator's tweet about what is and is not part of his continuity and some random thimblewit who makes authoritative statements about something they have no idea what they are talking about.
Oh, I am sorry, I did not know there were expiration dates on whether you were allowed to make comments on something in the comic or not. So this means that if, say, Elliot cuts his hair soon, I have to IMMEDIATELY say that I think it looks good if I do so, and that if I don't, I am never allowed to mention his hairstyle again?

Yup, I do like that to the Pokemon, fights are just play.  That's how most working dogs view their "jobs," from  taking down bad guys to finding trapped people or bodies or drugs.  It's all a game to them!

Yay for starburst backgrounds in panels 1 & 3! Yay for generic background in panel 2! Yay for sparkly mellow Grace-a-saur and cute Grace-a-monsters (i.e. all Grace-a-monsters) in general! Yaaaay!

I have had a nasty turn for the worse.
I first reported trouble with the second toe on my left foot back in February, specifically with an ingrown toenail. The toenail had to be removed, and I was placed on antibiotics for the infection that had developed around it.
I've been on antibiotics of one kind or another almost non-stop since then. The infection never did completely go away. I had Silvadene cream and other ointments prescribed. None of them totally wiped out the infection.
In the past few weeks, the toe itself has become extremely painful to the touch. The infection was just a small spot on the outside, but the pain involved the skin covering the two end bones of the toe. My podiatrist had no explanation. A week ago, I began to experience swelling in both my legs from the foot to the knee. Walking became almost impossible. The podiatrist finally ordered a nuclear bone scan to see if anything was wrong with the bones of the toe itself.
As it turns out, I have a bone infection. Osteomyelitis of the tip end bone and possibly the second bone. There's no way to confirm with a biopsy or MRI, since the bones are so small. He gave me two options - a referral to an infectious disease specialist, or amputation of the toe. I had an appointment with my regular doctor to discuss an upper respiratory infection later that same day, so I decided to let him consult on the decision.
My doctor immediately recognized what was going on with my foot and legs, and connected the two. He said that the bone infection was causing the swelling (edema) in my legs. He prescribed a diuretic for the swelling, but couldn't do much about the pain since I'm already on oxycodone. He then checked out my mouth and throat and confirmed the upper respiratory infection, complicated by a case of thrush in my mouth (a fungal/yeast infection). He switched out my antibiotic to Augmentin and added Fluconazole tablets to my already huge mix.
In the end, he ordered a stat referral to an infectious disease specialist in an attempt to save my toe. I'm hoping the referral comes as early as Monday. I doubt it will, but I'm going to ride them hard on the matter. This hurts too bad to leave it alone.

"Because it's not a game, Kate. This is a scale model of war. Every war ever fought right there in front of you. Because it's always the same. When you fire that first shot, no matter how right you feel, you have no idea who's going to die. You don't know who's children are going to scream and burn. How many hearts will be broken! How many lives shattered! How much blood will spill until everybody does what they were always going to have to do from the very beginning -- sit down and talk! Listen to me, listen. I just -- I just want you to think. Do you know what thinking is? It's just a fancy word for changing your mind."   -The Doctor, as played by Peter Capaldi

She's refreshing, she may be losing a good portion of her knowledge and power, but it doesn't seem like she's returning to her basic nature either. I don't think she'll have moments where she'd rather be doing other things like Zeus, and remembering those important to her, she should continue to treat them as such.
I'm still of the belief that Pandora will wind up being Sarah's roommate in college.

Yeah, that's about how I feel about CCG in general.  It wouldn't be so bad if you could jump right in to play, it's having to pay for a whole bunch of cards you don't want, just on the hopes you might get one you do want.

Often times quotes are attributed to famous people who never said them, or the version of the quote that most people know is not exactly what they said. Not wanting to perpetuate such mistakes if I can avoid it, I've tried to do a little research on the following quotes. Where I couldn't find any info, or it's not sure whether they actually said it, I say below that it's "attributed to" them. (Mind you, my research was far from thorough, so I do not promise 100% accuracy.)

"A common mistake that people make when trying to design something completely foolproof is to underestimate the ingenuity of complete fools." - Douglas Adams, "Mostly Harmless"
"How wonderful that we have met with a paradox. Now we have some hope of making progress." - Niels Bohr
"Anyone who has not been shocked by Quantum physics has not understood it." - Niels Bohr
"Occasionally he stumbled over the truth, but hastily picked himself up and hurried on as if nothing had happened." - Winston Churchill (often mis-quoted to refer to "men" or mankind in general)
"Only two things are infinite, the universe and human stupidity. And I'm not so sure about the former." - Attributed to Albert Einstein by Fredercik S. Perls
"As far as the laws of mathematics refer to reality, they are not certain; and as far as they are certain, they do not refer to reality." - Albert Einstein, "Sidelights of Relativity"
"The most incomprehensible thing about the universe is that it's comprehensible." - Albert Einstein, "Physics and Reality"
"If at first an idea does not sound absurd, then there is no hope for it." - Attributed to Albert Einstein
Albert Einstein in response to a book entitled "100 Authors against Einstein": "Why 100? If I were wrong, one would have been enough."
"An eye for an eye and a tooth for a tooth leaves the world blind and toothless" - Attributed to Mohandas Gandhi
"Outside of a dog, a book is man's best friend. Inside of a dog it's too dark to read." - Attributed to Groucho Marx
"Clothes make the man. Naked people have little or no influence on society." - Mark Twain (Appears in "More Maxims of Mark" by Merle Johnson; Twain scholars consider the book likely accurate.)
"Whenever you find that you are on the side of the majority, it is time to reform." - Mark Twain, "Mark Twain's Notebook"
"In religion and politics, people's beliefs and convictions are in almost every case gotten at second-hand, and without examination, from authorities who have not themselves examined the questions at issue, but have taken them at second-hand from other non-examiners, whose opinions about them were not worth a brass farthing." - Mark Twain, "The Autobiography of Mark Twain"
"Never put off until tomorrow what you can do the day after tomorrow." - Mark Twain (in an article in "The Galaxy", July 1870)
"One of the most striking differences between a cat and a lie is that a cat has only nine lives." - Mark Twain, "Pudd'nhead Wilson"
"If man could be crossed with the cat, it would improve man but deteriorate the cat." - Mark Twain, "Mark Twain's Notebook"

Will the changes to the clothes remain after she removes them?
Using shapeshifting abilities for clothing alterations?  Yes, I think I may have found the worst professional use for a super power.

Ok. So, regarding how hard would be for Grace to use earth magic now after not-a-reset, I think we have answer: it would be hard NOT to. Her "technically awakened" seem to directly go to awakened.
In fact, maybe THAT would be reason she didn't mind deciphering the spells - with mixing two languages it might've been easier for her ...
And it would probably work even better for hiding it than pure Japanese ...
And don't scare the dog too much.

I just spent a few minutes on my front porch, drinking a cup of tea in the now mild rain.  There is an owl in the area and it was calling.  All very soothing and something I need to do more often.

CritterKeeper got a reaction from ChronosCat in Things that make you sad.
That's not unusual, and there's nothing wrong with it.  When a person (or pet) has been sick for a while, or is very old, and the end is in sight, we tend to do some of our mourning ahead of time.  By the time the end comes, it's not that we don't mourn them, it's that we already have.  And it being over can be a good thing.
My mom could see the end coming.  She has coped very well, because she had tme to deal with all the emotions, as well as the two of them each having their own interests and having some life apart from each other.  She says it mostly feels like he's still in the next room, it's just further away now.  I have a client whose husband died before my dad did, and she still tears up almost every appointment, and talks about how hard it is to cope without him.  They shared so much, and had so little they didn't share, that her whole world was torn apart.  Plus, his death was completely unexpected, so she had no time to get used to the idea, no chance to spread things out.
I tell clients, when a pet dies, that there is no right or wrong way to say goodbye.  At a euthanasia, some people stay to the very end, some stay until their pet is asleep, and some leave before I do anything.  None of them is wrong, none of them love their pet any less based on their choice.  The same is true for losing people.
You can expect one death to bring up feelings about other deaths, maybe even moreso than the current one.  You may hit all the official Stages Of Grief, but you may not,  Don't be afraid to reach out if you need to talk, to family or friends or to a support group or whatever.  But don't feel bad if you don't need to talk, either.  *hugs*  You have friends here.
