Ah, thank you. So, discriminatory against the other five basic functions of arithmetics.

The Moderator: No, it does not. There is no debate on these forums at all. Trans people get referred to by their self-identified gender here. Deliberately denying them their personal identity and lived experience is transphobic and hence against the forum rules. Anyone who does not respect this will first get warned and if they do not heed this eventually banned.

My heartfelt sympathies on the loss of Ashley.  I lost my Hobbes last month, and Sir Patrick a few months before that.  It never gets any easier, but it does get better, if that makes sense.
I had a cat with seizures, in her case she'd suddenly run, until she hit a wall or fell over.  Seizures can be weird manifestations sometimes, and you had no way of knowing that was what was happening to her.  Even if you had guessed, and had brought her to specialists, if she went that fast there was likely nothing they could have done.  Seizures can look awful, but she wasn't aware of what was happening.  It would have been very fast and painless for her.  I hope that's some comfort.  She knew how much you loved her, it's been clear in your posts here!
My remaining cat Mary sends you lots of demanding snuggles (and a bit of lingering brattiness)!

You'd be surprised.  It's something of a stereotype/trope/cliche in BDSM circles, the man or woman who is strong and powerful and dominant everywhere else, but submissive to their spouse/partner within their relationship.  For some that means only during play sessions, for others it's more constant/consistent.

    This is unfortunate.
Pandora and Tedd have valid points.  The Will of Magic may have been doing things the same way for a millennium, but would it really hurt to at least consider rational arguments from opposing points of view?  After all, Magic's alternative of changing the rules for everyone seems like putting all the toys on the top shelf and then letting the toddlers try to get them back on their own.
But that is probably just wishful thinking.
I am fairly confident that this Emissary of "The Will of Magic" does not have the knowledge or authority to actually speak and negotiate on behalf of "The Will of Magic", beyond delivering an occasional message.

I consider this discriminatory against the three other forms of basic arithmetic.

There are 6 basic function in arithmetic.  Addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, exponential and roots.  You really need to know all 6 to function in a modern world.  For the last two, squares and cubic and square roots at least.

Thank you. I was saying "flamewars" because in the past such arguing has led to much angry shouting, and was citing that as a reason why we should not "go there". I am absolutely NOT in favor of reviving such a conflict.

There was a town in Spain that was so indignant at Denmark's support of Napoleon during the Napoleonic War that its municipal leadership decided to declare war on Denmark sometime back in 1812 or thereabouts. This state of hostilities lasted without cessation for more than a century and a half until a Danish newspaperman found a reference to it in the archives. He decided to go there and investigate, and lo and behold, the current mayor of the town found that yes, war had been declared and no, no peace treaty had ever been formally signed.
He then took the newspaperman as a prisoner of war, cruelly treated him to a grand dinner with the finest wines he owned, and together with the other guests they debated the matter and finally decided that the time had come to bury the hatchet. And the newspaperman got to return home with a formal and signed declaration of cessation of hostilities. I do not know if an actual peace treaty has ever been agreed on but at least there has been no violations of the ceasefire so far.
