I still suspect that Edward's information is wrong in some way.

Speaking of good or bad parents, https://m.reddit.com/r/raisedbynarcissists/ might just lose you your faith in humanity.
Back (more) on topic, while not perfect, Ed Verres has not shown himself to be nearly as bad as it might get (he did relent on the TF Gun and Grace after realising just how much they meant to Tedd, after all).  And thanks to Noriko, he's been having to work it out on his own for much of it, something which I do not envy.

Sadly, most people get more formal training for their paid jobs than they do for (what should be) their most important job.
Edward Veres has done some things wrong in the process of raising Tedd.  But I still would not call him a bad parent

Magic itself seems to be very accomodating, rather eager-to-please.  Nanase is keeping secrets, so Magic gives her sneaky type spells.  Elliot isn't happy with having to turn into a girl, so Magic keeps making the girl-forms cooler and cooler, all the way up to genuine superpowers, trying to make him happy.  Susan was the "Hammer Queen" so when the general women-hammering-sexists spell disappears, the first spell she gets is to give her back the hammers; when she winds up using her fairydoll spell much more often, Magic expands on it for her.
It's possible that Magic interacts with individuals in a more simplistic or automatic way, a sort of autopilot that may even sometimes be contrary to the interests of the overall, more intellectual Will Of Magic.  A superheroine isn't exactly discreet, nor is a swarm of fairydolls.

I've always thought that the T-shirts must be enchanted to make the wearer look human, or at least be perceived as human, and the writing on it is either part of the spell, or a joke on the part of the maker, or perhaps they have other enchanted T-shirts for appearing to be Uryuom or invisible and the label just helps keep them straight down in Supplies.

The Dunkel residence really should have been inundated by the press and curiosity seekers when Elliot tried to go home Saturday night, although it's possible he spent the night at the Verres place.

Catalina can turn into a werecat of some sort. Rhoda can make her bigger. Hijinks indeed.

I've been saying similar stuff for a while. I suspect that Mrs. Kitsune, far from being the close-minded authoritarian that Nanase believes, in truth has been carefully rearing Nanase to preserve Nanase's freedom of choice.

And trolling Ellen by giving her a blonde hair when she was expecting black hair for burning out isn't precise?

    Hypotheses:
They could be clones using separate host mothers (or one natural mother and one host).
Diane could be a clone of Susan using an Uryuom egg. Diane was then adopted out.
There is something similar to the TF gun floating around, but it was used to make one baby permanently identical to the other.
Diane is the Susan equivalent from a parallel universe and somehow got sent to Susan's universe as an infant.

Yeah, that's why I think there's more to this than is shown, I don't see why Jerry would lie and leave false hints about Diane's relation to Susan when he vowed to help Susan and Nanase to make up for Helena and Demetrius supposedly lying to them. I don't think he would just assume Diane is Susan's sister after eavesdropping on Ellen and Nanase discussing the possibility of it, then again, he did assume that Sarah didn't have any innate talents for magic, but that might not count because he apparently wasn't powerful enough to detect it.
We'll have to wait till the next page to see if Edward says anything else about this, but I don't think he'd lie about whether or not Susan was adopted, Nanase would have given him the exact same reasons she gave Elliot and Diane about why she believes they're sisters and he isn't faking seizures or anything so I do believe he didn't find anything. but like I said before, it's possible someone else did a really good job of covering up Susan's true origins.

Ah, the bad old days. The electronic revolution really has been wonderful. About the only thing I miss about the old ways is LP covers.

One rather simple thing Sarah can do, as a D rank talent with an S rank spell, is take huge bites out of the ambient magic buildup.  It doesn't fix the problem, but it buys time.

Since it had been in the car for that long, presumably it had already turned into Queen's Greatest Hits?

You know, I'm kinda wondering if, in the EGS universe, the ancient gods really did exist, and were actually the Immortals before they set up their rules. They would have been so ancient and powerful and bored that they were constantly meddling in the affairs of mortals, demanding sacrifices and tribute and such, then the "Clash of the Titans" happened, nearly destroyed everything, and the Immortals agreed things had to change.

I don't remember if anyone has brought this up, but it looks like whoever empowered Dex and gave him the jar pendant was trying to set up Pandora. This comic and this comic show that Dex's manipulator was willing to kill Noah. We now know that Pandora cares deeply about her family, and that she would never risk Noah given that he is Raven's ward. She believes that her great-Godson's girlfriend is practically family, so Noah must be, too.
If this idea has already been thoroughly discussed somewhere, I apologize.

I just noticed how well this page goes with this page four years later. Grace has gone from a non-nerd to a nerd master.

Yes, that's what set off the thought -- if it were Edward, which I was already pretty skeptical about, then you can be sure he wouldn't have gone to sleep only knowing what had been on the news!
