http://egscomics.com/egsnp/nanasecraft-13 Nanase seems a bit overconfident in her analysis. After all, so far she has encountered exactly one transformation device in this adventure. It is almost as if she was assuming that the facility was designed by someone trying to keep the plot moving rather than by someone trying to keep intruders out.

http://egscomics.com/egsnp/nanasecraft-11 Having grown up watching animated Canis latrans v Geococcyx californianus documentaries, I am certain there should be a Nanase shaped indentation at least six inches deep on the back wall of the bowling lane. As to the commentary? Dan is correct. The path of the pins once hit by the ball has nothing to do with Newtonian physics. It is all Quantum uncertainty.
-
http://egscomics.com/egsnp/nanasecraft-10 It is possible the idea of choosing the third indentation was not so logical as it seemed to be ... also, humans can make reasonably round cylinder, but not sphere. But hey, magic is involved.

http://egscomics.com/egsnp/nanasecraft-09 Ok, I was mistaken in previous strip ; apparently there IS enough place. Although I still think that the perspective in last panel of previous strip was not ideal ... Also, yes, this is weird even compared to games I played (but maybe I didn't played correct games ...) ... yet Nanase takes it as normal. In Harry Potter, characters at least have REASON why to be familiar with bizarre things ... how often Nanase encountered puzzle like this to take it in such stride?

http://egscomics.com/comic/tlod-033 Forgive and forget? Just don't forget that I've forgiven you and I can "remember" that which I have supposedly "forgotten". Still, very nice of Johnson to avoid making Diane's day any more awkward than it has already been.

http://egscomics.com/egsnp/nanasecraft-07 Not sure which game protagonists guide was eaten by wolves, but it reminds me several RPG campaigns, including all I ever tried to DM. Thinking a proper way how to pack all the monsters into dungeon is hard and doesn't feel necessary if you are just eager to play and don't have any experience ... so yeah, wolves behind locked doors with nothing to eat except the bear in next room which they didn't and neither he tried to eat them. Also, the bear totally ignored the adventurers killing the wolves and waited until they came in his room. Yeah. There must've been powerful magic in play.

http://egscomics.com/egsnp/nanasecraft-06 Yes, this is definitely something archaeologists shouldn't do. She didn't even photograph it - or give Sarah chance to photograph it.

http://egscomics.com/egsnp/nanasecraft-05 [space for reaction] I like Nanase's outfit, but her shorts seem to be riding a bit low; it looks like they might be in danger of falling off (which would be dangerous while adventuring). (Also, as a fan of alternate outfits, I'm a little dissappointed Nanase doesn't get a winter-weather outfit, even if it was necessary for the joke.)

http://egscomics.com/egsnp/nanasecraft-03 Just so long as the artifact won't destroy the world. We kind of need the world.

http://egscomics.com/egsnp/nanasecraft-04 [space for reaction] If Nanase could afford to have the animators draw her an entire different outfit, Sarah, she wouldn't have needed to go on this expedition in the first place! (Which raises the question, does Sarah have more money than Nanase, or is she just more practical with how she spends it?) This really does remind me of any number of cartoons I've watched over the years; no character can be expected to have more than one outfit, unless they're a superhero with a secret identity (in which case they will still probably only have the two outfits). As for the commentary, I've heard a number of things about Anniversary that make me hesitant to pick it up; most of them are nitpicky, but I'm entitled to be swayed by nostalgia and little details if I want to be. This adds another.
-
http://egscomics.com/egsnp/nanasecraft-02 It is easier to be caviler about money if you either have a lot of it, or none whatsoever. And if you have none whatsoever, you going to be caviler about money pretty close to home. Not in some exotic adventure locale.

Sketchbook September 18, 2018 - TF Transfer Scales
ChronosCat posted a topic in EGS Sketchbook Discussion
http://egscomics.com/sketchbook/2018-022 On Patreon back in August of 2016. Huh. That means I haven't had a chance to comment on it here... Well, I like the Indiana Jones outfits, and the idea of an artifact that causes transformations, but I'm still a bit underwhelmed by this picture. I think part of the problem is we've already seen Sarah with large breasts, so even when Dan first posted this only one of the transformations was new. A bigger problem is that for me part of the fun of an unexpected transformation is seeing the character(s) coping with it; to truly do this justice there would need to be at least a short scene if not a story. Speaking of which, I'm excited about the "Archaeologists" story Dan talks about in the commentary; it sounds promising. (Based on some tweets he's made, I'm guessing Nanase's outfit will be closer to something Lara Croft would wear. But it's interesting he doesn't mention Sarah being in a different outfit - maybe she'll get to keep her Indiana Jones outfit?) -

Sketchbook Aug 14 (Patreon Aug 13), 2018 - Pet Kitties Ellen and Nanase
ChronosCat posted a topic in EGS Sketchbook Discussion
https://www.patreon.com/posts/double-pet-ellen-20745923 https://egscomics.com/sketchbook/2018-011 Again, meow! ...Interesting, that's not the shade of green I was expecting (based on the shade of it in grayscale I was picturing it on the pale side). -
Patreon Aug 8 / Sketchbook Aug 9, 2018 - Extra Girly Slumber Party

https://www.patreon.com/posts/extra-girly-20642999 https://egscomics.com/sketchbook/2018-010 Very cute. I particularly like Ashley's outfit, and the interaction between Ashley and Grace. Also, I wasn't sure at first about Ellen's new hair style, but I think it works here. Oh, and I can't pass up the opportunity to say: Yay for bubbly background! -
http://www.egscomics.com/egsnp/gam-18 Nanase: "I prefer women!" Charlotte: "Are you flirting with me?" Nanase: "NO! I should have been flirting with Ellen....if I didn't end up in a lovestruck stupor each time she appeared....."

http://www.egscomics.com/egsnp/gam-17 Grace-a-monsters world Charlotte sure has a different taste in clothing from canon Charlotte.

http://www.egscomics.com/egsnp/gam-04 I see Justin agree which Grace-a-monster is coolest ... and George repeats my warning that strategy-wise it's the worst, because first two bosses are rock-type and water-type. And Nanase then chooses water, which for some reason surprise Justin despite naming her "Bubbles". Also, yes: giving the not-grandson first choice is illogical - wait. Actually it's pretty logical. George doesn't want to be accused of nepotism. Except he didn't though it through and it backfired because now he would be accused from planning this scenario, despite him really being all about love and friendship and just naive enough to not predict this. And finally: Nanase isn't exactly min-maxing. Unless she knows that the player character is going to be important and someone worth min-maxing against. She simply chooses the best counter to show player character she doesn't like him.

http://www.egscomics.com/egsnp/2018-05-25 Yeah. Catnip. Try it fast before the cat forms times out. It's neither harmful nor addictive, no human narcotics can claim that ... or it's just that we have stricter definitions of what "addictive" is when applied to humans?

http://www.egscomics.com/egsnp.php?id=770 And Rhoda finally fixed Nanase. Although she forgot to adjust the clothes it seems ... (Reading commentary) ... ok, almost.
-
Here is. 9 out of 10. I'm not sure why, but I really like this one. And belt knots are tricky to tie.
-
So, if Nanase can perform unequal clothing swaps (hair bands for shirts), and lives in a world seemingly a little overloaded with vampires, then I think if I was here I'd have a suit of armour in a wardrobe somewhere and spend my life wearing half a dozen bracelets ...

http://www.egscomics.com/egsnp.php?id=673 probably, http://www.egscomics.com/egsnp.php for now. Nanase should've escaped sooner. Also, apparently Rhoda is VERY distracted. I'm not surprised Mrs. Kitsune is ok staying this age and Nanase is not. Nanase's age is best from those three options and unlike Akiko Nanase already knows why (Ellen).
