Arthur's "What" on end is also good, although I predicted facepalm. (Commentary:) Shark's sensing magnetism is relatively normal kind of sense. Let's look at something harder: Imagine AI which only perceives world through the changes of frequency of specific words in news. (Unless you work in Google, then you don't need to imagine.) Magic might be more similar to this, having most information about world from what spells will people desire and how are they using them ... like, if there is epidemic, it doesn't see lot of sick people. It senses lot of people suddenly wanting healing spells.

http://www.egscomics.com/index.php?id=2459 Tedd's making progress now, no anger, no statistics or probabilities, gotta be clear, concise and from the heart. And seems like Arthur might not know that Adrian is Tedd's godfather after all, because he certainly knows Adrian Raven since he tried to deport him, so he should have connected Pandora earlier when it was reveal that she protected her son from aberrations. Also turns out that the WoM doesn't quite have the flair for the dramatic that everyone assumed. I guess it's just been winging it this whole time. And then Van, I dunno, certainly seems like he's taken to Tedd quite well, has Tedd realized that he could be her half brother? I would think Van would have said something if he recognized Tedd's name, and Tedd doesn't know Van's last name yet, but is the fact that he to has a mom that's a monster hunter enough?

His first plan to kill Elliot and traumatize Tedd failed, Plan CM was also to manipulate Tedd, so what better way to do so than to have it revealed to him that his dream of making magic public is doomed and believe that the WoM is a real jerk, then get Pandora close to Tedd, then set her up to get forcibly reset, and then top off the fact that the WoM is a jerk by having it be the one that tells Tedd that Pandora was reset.

http://www.egscomics.com/?id=2456 So it would seem that Tedd succeeded in convincing Arthur that it would be next to impossible to keep magic secret for long. But it's not quite enough yet to convince the WoM that only minimum changes are needed.

Also my assumption that 3 seers in the meeting being unheard of, a little surprised that it might have been 5, I did expect there might have been more that became ineligible in some way and Tedd's statement of the higher number being due to higher world population makes perfect sense for it. And turns out Tedd didn't intend on hiding who she was after all, but I like how she handled it.

Guess that's not really necessary now since Arthur could handle learning a new system himself. And Van eh? Mum's a monster hunter... Dan's tweeted that this comic would generate wild theories, I bet the big one is that Noriko is Van's mum making him and Tedd half siblings. Though what are the chances of Noriko giving birth to 2 seers and what did Van come up negative on the magic potential scans as well?

http://www.egscomics.com/index.php?id=2450 Ok. The second purpose of seer is no big surprise: seers are supposed to help with planning the magic change and we still don't know how exactly. Little surprise is how wordy the will of magic suddenly is. Also, new info - only seers who have used magic are eligible ; this may further reduce number of seers who will be asked, in extreme case to one - because while Tedd is not only seer currently alive, he MIGHT be only seer who is using magic. ... not sure how it should prevent exploitation, however the "caught off guard and unprepared" definitely happened so it certainly reduces it ; and it might prevent OTHERS trying to influence the results directly (didn't stopped Voltaire trying to do it indirectly). Also, still looking forward if Tedd will remember this or if he just would be aware of the new system without knowing how. ... wait; If the change is not severe, seers are NOT made aware? BTW, Will of magic, one idea: seers would definitely be less confused if you try something else than disembodied voice - oh wait that might be deliberate. (Do you also think this is like prerecorded and will of magic totally ignores what Tedd is saying until the recording gets to the point of asking question?)

And of course, Grace and Edward are sawing logs. But Tedd does admit this isn't the first time she's been up late working on stuff.
