At one point in the Illuminatus! trilogy, a guy is on LSD and watching everyone around him change color. Not just normal human skin colors either. It occurs to him that a lot of societal problems would go away if people DID change color.
Of course, this wasn't an original concept.
And it was revisited somewhat more recently, as well.

Tedd could produce one-day transformation wands with pointed ears, cat ears, cat whiskers, puppy tail, green skin, etc. (just one small transformation per wand) for vaccination purposes....we could have play groups with every grade-school child showing a different trivial transformation.

Someone call the Vatican, the Imperial Omyouji, the Van Helsing family, all the shamans, the Freemasons, the priests of all major religons, and reconvene the Round Table. And prepare to reopen the crypt of Merlin. We MIGHT have an emergency here.

I'd like to remind the rest of you that I'm on the record that I think Voltaire had some contact with Arthur and is the reason Arthur knew a change in magic was coming and why.

Looks like Tedd has his own barrel of exposition. Daddy should be proud.

I believe this marvel would be Franz Conrad von Hötzendorf. However, he had stiff competition in the "Most Marvelous General" competition of that war in Luigi Cordona and Douglas Haig.

I remember that argument. I felt it was particularly annoying because it stated that "Mother believes child's homosexuality is a 'phase' that will pass" is the same as "Mother accepts child's homosexuality and supports their way of living." These two are not the same. In fact, the former is rather like not accepting that your child is transgender, continually deadnaming them and being 'tolerant' of their 'foibles.'
Then, of course, we have examples of the 'easy resolution' between Justin and Melissa, Adrian and Pandora, the current tension between Tedd and Mr. Verres as well as Susan's continuing struggles with her father's adultery. Oh yeah, not to mention the 'easy resolution' between Mr. Verres and Adrian. It is obvious that Dan has no idea of character drama and writes in much the same way as Laurell K. Hamilton or Stephanie Meyer. Feh!

That little girl who enhanced the dragon and the rather-dim boy grew up to become the King of Xanth and had three daughters named Melody, Harmony, and Rhythm. Rhythm managed to summon a stork before getting a husband and so the aforementioned little girl has a granddaughter named Cadence.

No.  At the time I had nothing.
Which may be part of why she left me.
And she very likely never had reciprocal feelings for me.

Another amazing crackpot plot theory? How do I do it? How can you stop me?
This one is that what's involved in the magic change will have include a change for Immortals. This whole mess started with Immortals messing around in ways that exposed magic to humans in a way that had to be more spectacular and widespread than the Fire-Throwing Horde that set off the last Change, and it was the Immortals that did the world-wide exposing. Voltaire must be aiming for a change in the rules--but it won't be the change he had in mind.
I also think that Voltaire will be joining the debate.
And I think by the end of The Fate of Magic, the Will of Magic will take on a perceptible form which will be a very large surprise. But I won't tell you what I think that form will be.
True, but I said "just as likely". Anyway, as I posited in the comments for Monday, I don't think that Tedd, Arthur, and Van are "really" wherever they are, in body, and I don't think they are actually speaking with their lips or hearing with their ears. They are perceiving things outside of time and the reality of the material plane, something like Tedd's little talk with the whales. If there is more diversity, I would expect everyone to seem to be speaking English to us. The "Mum" may just be a way to communicate Britishness, or another curve ball from Dan.
Or maybe actual subtitles will magically appear. Ellen would really like them when she hears Nanase speaking Japanese.
I'll go for the nice(r) explanation.

I hope Van isn't Tedd's brother, or that if he is this fact isn't revealed until after Magic has made it's decision. Tedd needs to be on her A game right now; the last thing she needs is the emotional trauma of learning that the mother she feels abandoned her went on to have another child who she actually stayed with.
I really hope these three aren't the only eligible seers. In addition to the points you made, all of them are Caucasian or part-Caucasian, and unless Dan throws us a major curve-ball none of them are full-time females. If these three are supposed to represent the world, they're seriously lacking in diversity.
Tedd wouldn't want to be one sex permanently, anyway. I doubt she'd even want to stay in male form for the full month; she's always liked to spend a good amount of her free time in female form.
Assuming spells from the old magic system still work in the new system. I still think the old spells will at least need to be modified in order to be used in the new system, if they can be made to work at all.
I figured Diane and Susan still counted since the started as "maybe sisters" and seem to have ended as "sisters in spirit".
And the storyline involving Magus, Sirleck, Elliot, and Ellen  is still building upon the consequences of the first Sister story, so I think that alone would be enough to justify the Sister III title.

Assuming, of course, he still has that ability post change of magic.  Odd are he will, but right now that is assuming facts not in evidence.
Which brings us to "what is Tedd's first action after the change going to be"?   I've got 20 $Q that says he calls all of the magic using members of the main 8 together and tells them how to do magic again.

Why would Voltaire go through the trouble of conditioning Tedd against the WoM if he wasn't counting on Tedd doing something that would have an impact on Immortals?

Yup, Pandora definitely also thinks higher magic resistance for all would be a good thing.  Here's hoping Tedd can convince the Will of Magic to see it from their point of view.
Hmm, suppose they made it opt-in instead of opt-out?  That is, everyone is naturally highly resistant to magic, so that spells only have an effect on someone if they actively choose to allow it to affect them?  That would make use of magic much rarer, and eliminate or greatly reduce manipulations such as Voltaire overwhelming Dex with surges of magic power, or Pandora giving people Marks willy-nilly.  It would backfire for Voltaire because he'd end up even less able to affect mortals than they started out.  And it would enforce a code of ethics which Dan seems to be a big supporter of, that Magic not be used on people without their permission.

What I had in mind were the Capital-I Immortals, that is, beings like Pandora who used to call themselves Fairies, but not other immortal beings like Heka. That is, if Heka is really immortal. Possibly he might just be holding an immortal office. Ever read any of Piers Anthony's Incarnations of Immortality series?
Essentially, Immortals would become human wizards. They might remain unaging, but they'd lose their excessive intelligence, memory, and power, the things that make them crazy and dangerous.
An attractive part of this option is that Pandora could come back and live as a more or less normal human, and not turn into a formless blob every time she takes a nap.
I hesitate to bet any cookies on this one, but I think it's an interesting alternative.

There's no guarantee that Magus' magic will work any better after The Change than any other human mage on Moperverse Earth. And if the change changes the enchantment on the Dewitchery Diamond, Magus may not be able to separate from Elliot at all...at least in the Moperverse. Remember, Nioi used another Dewitchery Diamond to create Kaoli. Maybe the next arc will feature some crossworld travel. After all, Dan has been talking about other universes for fifteen-odd years now, so it's kind of overdo for the gang to pay at least one of them a visit that isn't a dream.
(Incidentally, Kaoli's name really should be Kaori; no "L" sounds in Japanese.)
