I remember them seeing this movie, doesn't seem similar. This is likely going to be whole noir genre parody. Also, it will be definitely mysterious.
... also, I hope it won't lower the chance of Abner showing in the comics again. With Carol.

nah, size changing is rhoda's power, and her mark is the wierd squiggly thing that looks like two interlocked music notes upside-down from eachother.
Flame mark was justin's streetfighter specials.
    Fairy is dex.
    Luke is the magnifying glass.
The characters have mentioned 'cat' a few times in that arc, probably referring to catalina, so that would be the logical choice for the paw, given the running gag of her turning into a catgirl in noncanon pages. (accidental foreshadowing?)
    Gender symbol is ted.
Smoke cloud - ? (i doubt it's Dianne given that grace didn't react to her presence but did react to Rhoda and Justin only seconds later.)
    Contrast icon - ?
more than likely the last two symbols are the other two Marked Dreamers that Luke knows, the ones justin figured out about from the way he was reacting. it would be more straight forward than inventing another two on top of them, and existing characters having new powers would have been forshadowed by now.

Ohhh! A new spell for Elliot...
If I were Magic I'd give him an awesome autopilot... that followed the GPS instructions to the letter including obeying speed limits, traffic lights, and always stopping for pedestrians crossing the road. I'm not sure if I'd make him follow the roads at a height of six feet, or fifty, either way he'd be at the mercy of traffic, the spell having him follow the rhythm of road bound traffic while paying no attention to birds, drones or anything else that flies. I can visualize the look on her friends faces when they learn that Cheerleadra is stuck in traffic and can't figure out how to disengage the autopilot...
It's probably a good thing that it's Dan writing this comic and not me...

I really love FV5 Greg.  We need to see more of her!
Also am I the only one who is imagining Justin changing into Justine mid-jump?  swish-swish-swish-boing!

Alas, Phill. A great, tragic character only allowed the briefest of moments of glory on page in EGS.

I though Dan retconned "Vampire" to replace "Aberration" as the umbrella term for mages wanting immortality badly enough to prey on other humans?

"I knew she was trouble the moment she walked into my office.  Legs that went on forever, a body that won't quit topped with hair the color of spun gold.  I said to myself 'Abner, this is your lucky day.'  I just wasn't sure if it was good luck or bad luck.  My business, the luck's usually bad..."

As beautiful as this is, something tells me that Catalina wouldn't be caught dead in a wedding gown. She'd wear a tuxedo.

What? When did this happen? Did we even read the same comic? Magus never even came near to making Edward do that. He flat out refused to do it even when Pandora threatened him. Under terrible pressure and in what amounts to indefinite solitary confinement he retained enough integrity to say, "Blow that." If anything, that moment was what sealed the deal for me and convinced me that Magus was not and never would be a villain -- just desperate and with very very few options left to him in what he could do.

I wonder if Magus's plot is all needlessly complex, that if he had just told Helena and Demetrius that he needed some help instead of running from them, this would all be avoided. Of course, Pandora probably told him that they would kill him if they ever caught him.

    possessing Magus ≠ possessing Elliot.
Magus is appealing not because he has magic, as that would have drawn Sirleck's attention much earlier in the conversation, Magus is appealing because nobody knows him; Sirleck didn't show an interest until after Magus admitted he was alone, that Sirleck was the only person he knew in this world.
Elliot is entirely the opposite of that. he is surrounded by people who know him quite well that could easily dispatch Sirleck. The bodysnatcher likely won't make his move until after Elliot and Magus have parted ways.

The "vampires are for real" line... SPLENDID trolling of the vampire. At least I think Volty woulda made sure he knew they were.

If Sirleck is considering Elliot, or anyone known to be a close friend of Elliot, as a possible next host, he's a complete idiot. There are several fairly-high-power magic users in there - just among the human teenagers, and Sirleck should be aware of a minimum of one and possibly four or more. At least two of Elliot's friends have family connections - one of them extremely obvious - to DGB and full-blown wizards, There are three Immortals involved that we know Sirleck is aware of. That's a firing squad already assembling itself; stepping in front of it and yelling FIRE! would be Darwin-Award-worthy.
So what does Sirleck want with Elliot? To get rid of Magus.

Sirleck is back. Yay? (Not yay.) And he seems to have a spy working for him, but it can't be the white immortal. Sirleck and Magus need Elliot alive and Whitey wants him dead. So who is the spy?
I hope it's not Charlotte, Ashley or Diane! Luckily I don't see how that would even be possible, unless Dan wants to really shock us.
So... Let's do a count of all the parties involved in this Complicated Mess:
    1) Pandora, who is most likely the one who clogged the magic drain and apparently needs Elliot for something
    2) Helena and Demetrius, who clearly have sworn to protect Elliot for some reason
    3) Whitey and his friends who want Elliot dead for some reason, possibly to stop Pandora
    4) Sirleck, Magus and their spy. Magus needs Elliot alive to gain a physical form, Sirleck wants Magus to get what he wants so he can presumably double-cross him and possess his new body. They are probably the ones paying vampires to go to Moperville to distract Helena and Demetrius
    5) Jerry. Although we haven't seen him tonight and he has nothing to do with Elliot, I have a feeling that he would make the most dependable ally against everyone who's out to hurt the Main Eight. I think he could even work with Helena and Demetrius after giving them a piece of his mind and learning more about them and their motives. (The problem with that is, of course, the fact that H&D don't remember all their motives themselves.)
    Did I forget anyone?

OK so The Colonel is working--more or less--on the side of the angels.  Or at least working at cross-purposes to Pandora.  But in an unprincipled manner.
But he didn't recognize Helena and Demetrius so he may not have been working with them, even though they, too, are a bit unprincipled in the way they uphold the good.  It's possible they look and/or feel sufficiently different as to fool "immortal senses" whatever those are.  While they are interested in Elliot's welfare, they don't seem interested for the reason Pandora would be.
So we have a minimum 3-sided conflict of Immortals mixed into this.

Funny, I was just thinking the opposite, that the fact that he preferred a plan with "only" one murder was the first sign we'd had that this Immortal might actually have a conscience.  After all, we've seen Pandora engage in plans involving murder, too.  She tried to get Edward to kill Abraham, and she almost had Dex kill everyone in the dojo.  The white immortal has acted like a jerk, but I am not yet convinced that he'll turn out to be truly and completely evil -- there could be broader plans and/or motives we haven't seen yet.  Not my first bet, but not off the table either.

If Magus returning to the physical plane is an important step in Pandora's plan, or was prior to her argument with her son and the others haven't realized things have changed, then colonel whoever may think the most expedient way to derail her plans is to take Elliot out of the equation. he may be trying to work against her but operating on out of date information.

I can't believe you're still talking about this. I think it's extremely safe to assume that Noriko's younger children are with her in Europe training to follow in her footsteps. Noah's parents are dead and Raven probably knew them because he has been a teacher for a long time and he has had many other magic apprentices than just Tedd's parents.

Elliot has a much better cat costume that does not require tights.
Ashley's mouse costume is, on the other paw, very cute.  But more than a little cheesy.
I am thinking this might be a dream sequence.  Possibly from Justin's point of view.  He is the only one who knows of Susan's list and would therefore be the only one (other than Susan) who would be wondering "what if Elliot was attending a costume party and Susan showed up ACCIDENTALLY dressed as Counselor Troi?"

I'd love to see Greg again, it's been far too long.  Maybe we could see some of Ellen's other beams, and maybe we'd get confirmation of the Fanon idea that Greg and Vladia are dating. :-)
If you look at the next page, their faces aren't really *that* similar.  Susan is more angular, the nose is a bit diffeent....the woman looked like a baby-faced Susan a lot more than she looks like a more mature Susan.
You know, given that Mr. Verres said he's been actively addressing the Lord Tedd issue, I wonder if *this* is the *real* reason Edward doesn't want his son to know.  If Tedd knew that his mother's enemies might come after him and his friends, he doubtless *would* renew his efforts to develop weapons and increase his power.  Perhaps it was the desire to protect his friends and family, to make sure no one could hurt them, that set his alternate(s) on the road to becoming Lord Tedd in the first place.
The reason I don't see Edward doing anything bad to Justin or the others is because of how he treated Ellen after her creation.  Despite her attempt at becoming a villain, he treated her with kindness and understanding.  He gave her equal status with Elliot and did everything he could to help her and her family integrate her into the world.  He may be clueless about his son's gender fluidity and how to deal with it, but he is not a bad person.  Even that hurtful behavior comes from love and fear of Tedd being harmed by his transformations, not out of any callousness or cruelty.  Edward is a good guy.  I really think that once someone explains what's going on with Tedd, he'll prove to be supportive and loving there, too.  So I just can't see him bringing any of these kids to harm based on what sort of man he has shown to be.  If anything, his reply to Justin may have come off as more threatening than he would have intended, another sign that he sometimes isn't aware of how what his says comes across to others quite as much as he should be.
