Noah's age wouldn't necessarily be a limiting factor. We don't know the how long an egg takes to mature and hatch. Given that we don't know Noah's birthdate, (and according to the wiki he's a year younger than Tedd) it's still a possibility. Also consider that its possible that a "dominant" donor may contribute more to the mix in the egg, as appears to be the case with Grace, Hedge, and Guineas, all of whom appear to take many (if not most) of their traits from their human donors.
After some thinking, and embarrasingly remembering that Susan's natural hair color is Blonde, I think its far less likely that Susan and Diane are related to Noriko, and more likely that they are related to Noah. After all, we do have evidence of Noah conjuring magical weapons.

    They are completely ordinary.
Now think about it a little. THAT is the reason DGB works so hard to keep magic secret.

Whoa you're right. The "X replied to Y's topic in Z".
... frankly, the rule for "div p.ipsType_blendLinks, div p.ipsType_blendLinks span.ipsType_light" is very suspicious, as it sets both white text AND white background. For the source it's at least not the same rule.

I hadn't heard about "stale", but there was the little problem that any water not from wells - and water from some wells - was contaminated with whatever sort of bacteria the folks upstream were currently suffering from. And the denser the population, the more of an issue this was. Population was, of course, densest in cities.
Yes, they regarded water as unhealthy to drink, for the very simple reason that people who drank it tended to get sick (not including drunk or hung-over) more than people who didn't. So they drank wine and beer instead. And they also mixed wine/beer (and later rum and other distilled spirits) with water, to reduce the intoxication (and stretch the expensive stuff), but if it had enough alcohol to kill the bacteria they didn't know was in the water...
In China they had the same problem; rather than fixating on alcohol, they drank tea. To make good tea you have to boil the water. Which kills the bacteria they didn't know was in the water.
So China invented the tea ceremony, and Europe invented the "Hold my beer and watch this!" ceremony.

Yeah, the best explaination was the adoption would have happened just shortly after birth. If Susan's dad is her biological father then he probably only agreed to adopt one of the twins and the other was adopted by the same couple that adopted Rhea. I kinda wonder if Mrs Pompoms was even capable of having children. Maybe she had asked Mr Pompoms about the possibility of adopting someday and when Mr Pompoms' got his mistress pregnant it would have been easy to say yes to adopting, especially if the mistress didn't want to keep the children in the first place.

Er... that presupposes that Susan would be able to remember her father's betrayal but not the fact that she has a twin sister. I can't get that to work.

I remember this one time when I realised bananas contained radioactive potassium that I tried to work out how many bananas you had to eat before the radiation became a significant cancer hazard. I think I arrived at something like half a ton to a ton of bananas a day for an entire year before the radiation effects reached that level. I somehow suspect that it would not be the radioactive component of the bananas that would end up killing you.

Grace would make a good Magical Girl.  I wonder if we can get her into the Lunar Mariner's troop?
And as for Greg?  He was probably in some power-up sequence in which his steam powered equipment would increase the force of his martial arts attack exponentially.  Then as the power up was reaching the dramatic point, Grace walked over and used the pointy stick to knock out some valves and hoses.  This caused Greg's apparatus to violently decompress and blow him across the room.
Notice that Grace did not celebrate the win until she saw Greg getting up on his own.

Definitely. With the GPS explained this way, there is no reason ANY other phone functionality to not work.
Actually, he MAY be able to do it SAFELY.
He would, however, be able to open the car, as THAT is usually remote functionality.
His other forms can't merge with phone, just the superhero one.
... for now at least. Just note, it doesn't seem you can actually LOSE ability, but yes, the more you use an ability the more likely is that you get another similar one.
... worth trying. Although probably not. Also, remember that even Wolverine mentioned that his claws HURT him when extending.
Of course, considering he has several female forms AND Ashley who is likely not only ready to try anything but will have several additional ideas, he is not likely to need it.
    Matured AND got Grace.
There is also Batmobile. Also, Michael Knight had a car- ... no, I don't thing this kind of cars counts.

I would guess that the one he is bounty hunting JUST NOW is either Grace or someone she needs to progress in game. Maybe the guy from previous strip?
It sort of works if everybody is drinking ... but not at all if only you do.
... you need to drink for that?
I still don't consider it most ridiculous thing ... at least until you add that apparently you can get better in persuading ROBOTS by drinking. And wearing sexy clothing.
... also, CONSUME copies of a particular book? Like, really eat them?

Yeah, I dislike that too. As someone who grew with a drinking father, I know the horrors of alcohol all too well.
And now I realize what the game developers were thinking: they probably believe the "alcohol makes you more social" trope. That annoys me very much, because it is simply not true, end of story.

I absolutely love it. Also, it is now confirmed: Elliot has a HUD. It should therefore be possible for him to play Angry Birds while in superhero shape.

Congratulations Elliot. You're now a magi-cyborg. Get a better smartphone, fool! You now can watch Youtube videos and read internet forum threads directly via your body while superheroing.

On second thought, let's not read internet forum threads, they are a silly place.

Oh my God yes. I still remember an infamous annual report from the Danish nuclear test station at Risoe. At the time it was led by a physicist named Dr. Hiller.
Due to incautious use of the spell checker, his name was spelled 'Hitler' throughout the entire report. I am morally certain that the poor man did not deserve that.

I have always had an odd love-hate relationship with Karma meters. I like the idea and it does add variation to the games, but sometimes the choices are so STUPID. For example, in classic KotOR where you play a force sensitive character you keep getting choices between Light and Dark Side. In one situation you meet a man being mugged by gangsters. You can elect to save the man (Light Side), ignore the event (Dark Side) or kill the muggers because they irritate you (Dark Side.) Okay, no problem. But afterwards you can either help the man a bit more (Light Side) or extort all his money from him (Dark Side.) Er, what?
Let's say you were trying for a Darth Vader style character feel. I can totally see him kill some muggers because they irritated him. But can I see him taking the victim's money afterwards? No. Why not? Because it is TOO SODDING PETTY. It is so much beneath Vader's dignity that it is ridiculous. And that is the problem with Karma meters. They all too often oversimplify, or worse yet, do evil for evil's own sake, purely for the muhahahaaa of it. If I play a villain, I'd like my evil to at least make sense.
This can also be a problem with Good, but in my experience Evil tends to be the more egregious of the two. (Or Light and Dark Side, or in the case of Mass Effect, Blue and Red.) Sigh.

There's a reason Justin Trudeau is at the Nuclear Security summit right now, he's getting ideas.
Yep Canada is sick of the world thinking of us as polite, apologetic lumberjacks. When WW3 happens, we'll be ready, and we'll make everyone apologize.....

I think she is looking at Ashley if she has same reaction to the conversation as she has.
You would be surprised how good in grammar can average roman citizen get if bad grammar brings the risk he will be labelled barbarian. Romans were proud people.
Do you also thinks Charlottle might not apologize if not for the "get a life"?

Well, being true pacifist IS hard. Any pacifist who think it isn't is spoiled by our civilization.

Sooo ... how exactly would that strategy of "help them kill something while letting them get the actual "kill"" work? I mean, are those NPC competent enough to be able to actually kill the enemy when you help them?

Trust me, they had lots of rules regarding grammar or their language just wouldn't work. The problem is that formal grammatical rules are an attempt to describe how a given language works, not actual rules for how it works -- and too many people put the cart in front of the horse and think that they are the latter.
Since language is constantly and extensively mutable, it follows that grammar must be as well. The trouble arises when people treat grammatical rules as ironclad, which they really aren't. The best metaphor I can think of is to compare grammar to a map of a language. But the 'landscape' the map depicts is one subject to constant change and prominent features keep appearing, vanishing or shifting about. And if there is conflict between map and reality, grammaticians who insist that it is reality that is wrong will all too often find themselves walking off metaphorical cliffs.

I disagree. It's true that 3,9 and 10 weren't as good as 2,4,6, but they were nowhere as bad as 5, 11 or 12, while there are issues with 8 making it worse than 2,4,6 (Susan pointed out the problem herself) but still better than 1 or 10. Also, when comparing with Star Wars, they were also nowhere near as bad as episode 1.

No we don't. We only know that she knows more than we know she knows, which is already way more than Nanase know she knows.
... that makes sense. I mean, I still think Mrs. Kitsune don't like her daughter hunting monsters, but yes, it's entirely possible she realized she can't do anything against that ... she DID sent her to the school Raven teaches in, after all ...
It was SUSAN who was sent there couple years earlier. Nanase actually known enough french to go there without parent intervention.
You forgot to mention one assumption you are making: that she wasn't aware that there are magic-users who are actively hunting her daughter BEFORE. Despite her "I don't have a sister", she knows much more about Noriko than we do.
... maybe her reaction to Ellen dating her daughter would be worse if Ellen wouldn't be magic user. She likely tried to keep her away from Tedd before, but now she seem to gave up that plan and might be scheming to empower the Main Eight ...
(About the "aware of her friends being magic-users" ... well, even if not directly told, she likely could realize what Greg's training is doing. So we can assume she knows about Elliot, Ellen and Justin being magic-users or on the way to becoming them, and she likely knows about Susan. Not sure what she thinks about Tedd. Not sure if she knows Sarah and Grace at all - she may not even know about them being Nanase's friends - wait. She gave Nanase the task of helping Tedd courting Grace.)

Jerry doesn't consider the immortal rules to be sufficient to judge behaviour. He don't think that just because Helena and Demetrius didn't broke the rules they behaved correctly.
