Maybe we need to expand the canon/non-canon system. Tedd Forgot Something can almost fit into canon except for the tail at the end of the tail, and even that isn't that big a departure, given that no one noticed Catalina had a tail except for Rhoda before they both turned into half-scale catgirls. I have some suggestions for the new terminology:
Demi-canon:  Could be canon, but not established yet. NPs about Grace's gaming might be referred to in canon someday. Semi-canon: Magical Comics Store and maybe now Tedd Forgot Something. Some parts may have been retconned out, such as Tedd's tail and Nanase taking five bucks from Duck to use her magic to look like she's wearing a bikini. Also Susan baring her midriff in early comics. Trebuchet:  Unlikely to become canon, but neat, and gives me an excuse to show off that I know how to spell "trebuchet" and what one is, namely a large catapult which was replaced by cannons but still essential for throwing cows at Monty Python. And there's a "Trebuchet" font out there somewhere.

Hmm, I don't see Grace really having a "genderfluid" mentality so much as an "agender" mentality. What I meant was that Elliot is the one person who could possibly relate to Tedd's internal struggle over what gender to be. Ellen has had a bit of gender dysphoria too, but she chose to go for fem and not turn back, so to speak, whereas Tedd and Elliot have wrestled with the question in more of a back-and-forth manner.

There's a type of freaking out that's so deep that often other people can't tell there is anything major wrong. I've seen in in cancer patients, their whole world is (or might be) so suddenly and rapidly falling apart that they can't process it. They just go about their life doing what little they can, with whatever control they have, until they can process it into words.

    EDIT: A word.

Maybe if they'd been closer they would have merged. That happened in an episode of Voyager. Anyone want to date Catarhoda?

Balance of Terror was a ripoff of a 1957 Robert Mitchum/Curt Jurgens movies called The Enemy Below about a duel between an American destroyer escort and a German U-boat. It even has the same stratagem of ejecting a dead body to fool the other ship into thinking the hiding ship has been destroyed--and the same stratagem at the end of the other captain making his ship look more damaged than it is to lure the enemy to reveal himself and move into close range.
It also doesn't have photon torpedoes. If you look at the special effects, the "phasers" use the same stock shots that were used for photon torpedoes in later episodes. Further, they detonate like depth charges, something they don't do in any of the rest of Star Trek canon.
Sadly, this is the same episode that inspired that cult which committed suicide, attempting to catch an alien spaceship hiding in the tail of a comet.

It's a pity Tara can't stick around.  If she has any experience fighting humanoids in aerial combat, she could probably contribute quite a bit.
It's a lot easier to make sure you're unobserved indoors, but the ceiling would be a limiting factor.  They should do some training indoors and some outdoors, ideally, so they're ready for either situation.
She has *got* to quote Spock, if she does...."His pattern indicates two-dimensional thinking!"

The Whale knew about Tedd's nature, and I doubt that the Whales are sharing gossip with Immortals, so I'm going to say that Tedd's Seer status can be detected via reasonably common magical means (e.g. Luke-style Aura Vision) if the viewer understands how to interpret what they are seeing.
As for Pandora realizing the significance, it is probable that Seers, while rare, are not exclusive to times where Magic is considering a Rule Change. Everything that we know says that Tedd was a Seer (or a Seer-to-be) from birth, and I highly doubt that Magic was planning the Rule Change before Pandora put the Energy Clog in place. It is far more likely that there are always Seers at any given time as opposed to them being created only when a crisis looms.

Clearly what is needed is a magical artist who can create animated murals.

No. A flying hall monitor would interfere with the ability of the students to see the murals.

Best method is still what Sarah just did: aim for the ground -- and miss.

And is unlikely to be transforming (or transformed).
    But no cat ears.
It would. It would also piss off DGB. Nevertheless, I suspect it was close to his original plan.
    I can see two directions:
    1) She will see Catalina and Rhoda and would bother them, possibly begging to be transformed.
    2) Catalina and/or Rhoda will see her and would be terrified that the epidemi of catness already started.

At the moment, if Tedd threw the watch at Pandora, it would go right through her.  Note that Tedd is a bit grayed out.  She's on the "spiritual plane" looking at him, but she is not visible to him, unless his ability lets him see/sense her as he did the space whales...

As you are probably aware, this is a fan forum tribute to a comic anniversary.  And as you know fan forum tributes always suck.
    Always!
And of course our fan forum tribute will be no exception.
    Yup!

El Goonish Shive is the only comic I was reading fifteen, or even ten, years ago which I am still reading today. As I grew old and tired, other media failed to grow with me, but El Goonish Shive has. That is all I can say, for the moment.

Assuming humanity survives Donald Trump taking office the day before, January 21st will mark the fifteenth anniversary of El Goonish Shive. Actually, if humanity doesn't survive, the anniversary will still come, but no one will be around to care. So take some time off from working on your fallout shelter and share your thoughts now; you may not get the chance later.

I think maybe Noah might understand why Adrian always steered him away from dark paths in his quest to avenge his parents' deaths. Because Adrian knew (maybe even experienced) what Pandora did after Blaike's death and didn't want Noah to do anything similar.

I've been thinking Pandora might reset all the way to an infant. Given that Hell is about to rain on Moperville, it could turn out something like the third season ending of Sailor Moon where Sailor Moon comes back from the final battle with baby Sailor Saturn in her arms.

Thinking fast, Catalina leaps up and announces, "Yes folks, your Moperville Community Players will be presenting Andrew Lloyd Webber's 'CATS' as this year's Waaaaay Off Broadway Black-Friday Blockbuster!"
Catalina and Rhoda should then retreat acrobatically from the Mall while singing the story of 'Mungojerrie And Rumpleteazer'.
