Well, in this case she has a laceration on her abdomen after her habitat fell (kinda like the 910 server), and I had to close it and give her a little fluids.  Luckily, one of my exotics books had a few pages on tarantulas, so I had something to refer to as I went.  Unfortunately, while she survived the surgery, her wound and trauma was just too severe, and she died later that day.  But at least I gave her a better chance!  (And managed to impress a guy who ran an S&M club (long story) ;-)

We know that Moperville is the flashpoint for a reset.  If someone is thinking "this is the last straw", there's a whole lot of before-the-last-straw incidents out there.  Those could be spread across the planet.

First, how would they even know?  Magic is not going to get all huffy over Moperville if it were a one-off.  Odds are good that all the organizations across the planet that are working in the shadows are having trouble keeping magic a secret. 
For Leifeld to have authorized reset as department policy there would almost have to be a large body of opinion across the paranormal world that a reset would be favorable.  I can't see a manager going out on a lib that far or Arthur convincing him to go it totally alone.  Arguably, a reset threatens Vapires/Aberrents like Sirleck the most.  Their lives are uniquely dependent on magic.  While a reset hurts the forces of nceness, it really ruins the day for the worst monsters they face.
Leifeld is already on the hook for having authorized the fallback from the "magic doesn't exist" line of defense.  He ought to have already taken a good deal of pushback just from Arthur's TV appearance, which signaled the fallback.

While very, VERY unlikely, it would be funny if Ashley's internet girlfriend were Elliot.

Given that Voltaire is manipulating Sirleck, it is highly probable that Voltaire knows something of Sirleck's plans, which in turn would lead to Magus.

I ran across some similarly parodic $3 bills with Bill Clinton on them.  Photocopied on regular--pink--paper, the wrong size, etc.  Could not mistake them for a legitmamte bill.
 

There is no grilock so locked that a SCOTUS-legal anti-counterfeiting bill wouldn't sail through the US Congress like it was greased, barely touching the marble floors with its feet.  Some things transcend ideology.  For politicians, money is one of them.

Yeah, the early years were kind of wonky. One guy put the competition together through (I think) the ninth year, then bailed and disappeared. The Friends of the O. Henry Museum tried to put together the contest in his absence, with little success. So, a group of punsters who knew what the contest needed to become a success got together at the barbecue joint that used to exist across from the museum and held planning sessions (with a punning moratorium in effect during the meetings). We gathered celebrity judges, did PR on local radio, put together topics for what's now called the "Punslingers" contest, set up rules, and got the thing off the ground. Our first attempt turned the event around. Subsequent efforts kept it on track and built it up to what it is today.
Trivia: I was the one who suggested the "World Championships" part of the event name, as part of a PR ploy. It worked.

I'm fairly sure that Tedd has just made the right decision for now. For the right reasons, too.

I'm just thinking that if the original inspiration includes "I'm a little bit country, I'm a little bit rock n' roll", or a Tarzan yell, you may want to find another source for your life lessons.
